Climate

There are four main types of deserts: arid, semi-arid, coastal and cold. In a arid desert, there is very little rain and the temperature is usually from 20-25 degrees Celsius. In a semi-arid desert, there is a bit more rain than in an arid desert, but it is still very dry. In a cold desert, there is plenty of snow and ice, and a good example is Antarctica. There are also coastal deserts, like the Atacama in Chile.
